Always have your Facebook Chat on the Sidebar in Firefox 5

 Have you ever tried the new Firefox 5? Sure, the last versions of Firefox were slow but this time it's as fast as Google Chrome but little less bugs and crashes. And if you are also always on Facebook chat, you can use Firefox to enable to chat interface to pop-out at the side bar even if you are not on your Facebook page. Like for example you are searching in Google, you can still see the Facebook chat at the side so you will know who is online. Here's a simple guide on how to do it.

To start, log-in to your Facebook account using Firefox as your browser. Right click on a blank area and select Bookmark This Page. Then on the Orange Menu Button which says Firefox (at the top left corner of the screen), click Bookmarks and find the bookmark you just made (Facebook). Right click on it and select Properties. On the pop-up window that appears, change the location to: https://facebook.com/presence/popout.php. Don't forget to check the box which says Load this bookmark in the sidebar.

That's it, you're done. All you have to do now is open your bookmark of Facebook then it will just pop out in the sidebar. You're going to need a large screen so you can surf easily but it will take time to adjust. The best part of this is it makes the old Facebook chat interface come back. So you can now see all the persons who are online and will be able to scroll through all of them.

Right click on a blank space on your www.facebook.com page after logging in.

Open Bookmarks, right click on the Facebook bookmark and select Properties.

Change the location to https://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php

Here's how your screen would look like. This was captured on a 10.1" screen notebook. So if you have a bigger screen, screen size wouldn't be a problem at all.

So now, you won't have hard time keeping up with your Facebook buddies on chat.
